I tend to get to An Bang Beach much more than Hoi An and BanYan, La Plage or Soul Kitchen are my usual hangouts. Relaxed seating, spectacular views, great food and drinks and usually some good company. An Bang is now bustling with plenty or too much choice, is it becoming overcrowded and not so idyllic?
An Bang is certainly the best choice if you are looking for a relaxing beach with plenty of dining and drinking options. Cua Dai beach a bit further south can be a bit of a hassle with sellers and touts everywhere. And now it seems that there is not much beach left at Cua Dai so the crowds are making their way to An Bang.
At weekends, An bang seems to be packed with local and expat families which can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. There is regular live music at some of the Western places, most notably at Soul Kitchen.
Now that Danang has a few of it’s own places right on the sand, Temple, Holiday Beach and the new The Village, An Bang may not appeal to expats from Danang.
